Installation Guide – Royal Beige 16″x24″ Leathered Marble Paver
Important Note
This guide focuses solely on the paver installation phase. Proper base and bedding preparation must be completed by experienced professionals before beginning.
Step 1: Dry Layout & Pattern Planning
Lay out pavers on the prepared surface to evaluate natural color and veining.
Arrange in running bond, ashlar, or modular patterns to reduce visible joints and balance tones.
Use chalk lines or a laser level to create reference lines for precise alignment.
Step 2: Paver Placement
Carefully position each 16″x24″ paver onto the bedding layer.
Maintain uniform joint spacing of 1/8″–1/4″.
Gently tap with a rubber mallet to ensure each paver is fully seated and level.
Step 3: Cutting & Edge Finishing
Use a wet saw with a diamond blade suitable for marble for precise cuts.
Support large-format pavers during cutting to prevent chipping.
Smooth cut edges with a fine rubbing block to maintain the leathered texture.
Step 4: Joint Treatment
Fill joints with polymeric sand or a marble-compatible filler.
Compact gently and sweep away excess material.
If using polymeric sand, lightly mist to activate the binding agents following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Step 5: Sealing & Maintenance
Once dry, apply a penetrating, breathable sealer designed for exterior marble.
Re-seal every 1–2 years, depending on exposure and foot traffic.
Clean only with pH-neutral, non-abrasive cleaners; avoid acidic products.
