Lay a 2–4″ layer of crushed stone or gravel and screed level.
Ensure proper slope for drainage (1/4″ per foot for outdoor areas).

Step 3: Setting the Pavers – Sand or Mortar Installation
Sand-set method: Place pavers directly on the screeded sand and tap gently into place.
Mortar method: Spread flexible adhesive or thin-set mortar and back-butter each paver for full adhesion.
Use a rubber mallet and a level to ensure pavers are flush and even.
Step 4: Joint Spacing – Natural Aesthetic
Step 5: Filling Joints
Fill joints with sand, polymeric sand, or non-sanded grout depending on installation type.
Remove excess material before it hardens.
