Installation Guide – Royal Beige 24″x24″ Leathered Marble Paver
Important Notice
This guide addresses only the paver installation phase. Sub-base and bedding layers must be prepared by qualified professionals before laying the pavers.
Step 1: Dry Layout & Planning
Dry-lay the 24″x24″ pavers on the prepared bedding layer to review color variations and leathered texture.
Select a pattern such as running bond, ashlar, or modular layout to minimize visible joints and balance tones across the area.
Mark straight reference lines using chalk or a laser level to ensure accurate, consistent alignment.
Step 2: Paver Placement
Position each paver carefully onto the bedding surface according to your layout.
Maintain uniform joint spacing of 1/8″–1/4″.
Tap gently with a rubber mallet to ensure full contact with the bedding and a level surface.
Check frequently with a level to avoid lippage, which is especially important for large-format pieces.
Step 3: Cutting & Edge Finishing
Use a wet saw with a diamond blade suitable for marble to make precise cuts.
Support pavers securely during cutting to prevent chipping or cracking.
Smooth exposed edges with a fine rubbing block to maintain the leathered texture.
Step 4: Joint Filling
Fill joints with polymeric sand or a marble-compatible joint filler.
Compact gently and sweep away any excess.
If using polymeric sand, lightly mist the surface to activate bonding agents as per manufacturer instructions.
Step 5: Sealing & Maintenance
Once fully dry, apply a breathable, penetrating sealer designed for exterior marble.
Re-seal every 1–2 years depending on exposure and foot traffic.
Clean only with pH-neutral, non-abrasive stone cleaners; avoid acidic products that can damage marble.
Disclaimer
Natural marble displays tonal and textural variations that are inherent to the stone and not defects. Always dry-lay and inspect materials before final installation. Professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure optimal performance, durability, and long-term beauty.
