Installation Guide – Royal Beige 6″x12″ Leathered Marble Paver
Important Notice
This guide covers only the surface installation of pavers. Sub-base and bedding preparation must be completed by qualified professionals before beginning.
Step 1: Dry Layout & Pattern Planning
Lay out the 6″x12″ pavers on the prepared bedding layer to check color variations and leathered texture.
Select a pattern such as running bond, herringbone, or basketweave to reduce visible joints and create visual interest.
Mark straight reference lines using chalk or a laser level to ensure precise alignment during installation.
Step 2: Paver Placement
Carefully position each paver onto the bedding surface according to your layout lines.
Maintain uniform joint spacing of 1/8″–1/4″; use spacers if needed.
Tap lightly with a rubber mallet to achieve full bedding contact and a level surface.
Regularly check with a level to prevent lippage, particularly with the small-format pavers.
Step 3: Cutting & Edge Finishing
Use a wet saw with a diamond blade rated for marble to make clean, precise cuts.
Support the pavers securely while cutting to avoid chipping or breakage.
Smooth exposed edges with a fine rubbing block to preserve the leathered finish.
Step 4: Joint Filling
Fill joints with polymeric sand or a marble-compatible joint filler.
Compact gently and sweep away any excess material.
If using polymeric sand, lightly mist to activate bonding agents according to manufacturer instructions.
Step 5: Sealing & Maintenance
Once fully dry, apply a breathable, penetrating sealer formulated for exterior marble.
Re-seal every 1–2 years, depending on exposure and foot traffic.
Clean only with pH-neutral, non-abrasive stone cleaners; avoid acidic products that can damage the marble.
Disclaimer
Natural marble exhibits inherent tonal and textural variations. These characteristics are part of the stone’s unique beauty and are not defects. Always dry-lay and inspect materials before final installation. Professional installation is strongly recommended for optimal longevity and appearance.
