Step 2: Layout Planning – Precision with No Gaps

Locate and mark the center of the area for a balanced, symmetrical layout.
Dry-lay multiple Lilium sheets to verify color consistency and veining alignment; seamless designs require perfect continuity.
Mix sheets from different boxes to distribute natural Palissandro variation evenly.
Align sheets tightly—no gaps or grout joints should appear between chips or sheets.

Step 3: Adhesive Application – Full Coverage Matters

Instructions:

Use a white, non-staining thin-set mortar designed for polished natural stone to avoid shadowing or discoloration.
Mix only the amount needed for 30–40 minutes of application.
Spread adhesive with a 1/4″ notched trowel, using the flat side first to coat the substrate, then comb at a 45° angle for consistent coverage.
Back-butter each sheet to ensure full adhesion and eliminate voids under the surface.
Set each sheet tight against the next; do not use spacers or leave gaps.

Step 4: Cutting & Fitting – Maintain Seamless Flow

Use a wet saw with a fine diamond blade suited for marble for precise cuts.
Mark cuts carefully with a pencil. Each chip must align perfectly due to the no-joint layout.
Smooth sharp edges with a marble file if cuts are visible.
Dry-fit cut pieces before installation to ensure seamless alignment with adjacent sheets.

Step 5: Setting Tiles – Seamless and Aligned

Start from the center or the most visible area and work outward, maintaining pattern continuity.
Position each sheet tightly edge-to-edge so chips align flawlessly with neighboring sheets.
Tap lightly with a rubber mallet to seat the sheets evenly. Ensure no lips or gaps appear.
Immediately remove excess thin-set with a damp sponge, especially important with polished marble.
Allow adhesive to cure undisturbed for 24 hours before exposing the surface to water or cleaning.

Step 6: Finishing – Skip Grouting, Seal Instead

Do not grout. Lilium mosaic is designed for zero-joint, no-gap installation.
After curing, clean thoroughly with a soft cloth and pH-neutral marble cleaner.
Apply a penetrating, marble-safe sealer to protect against water, stains, and etching.
Re-seal periodically depending on exposure to moisture and traffic.

Use only pH-neutral, non-abrasive stone cleaners.
Avoid acidic or alkaline cleaners (like vinegar or bleach) which can etch polished marble.
