Step 1: Surface Preparation – Solid, Level, and Clean

Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and level, with a maximum deviation of 1/8″ over 10 feet.
Use self-leveling underlayment if needed to correct uneven surfaces.
Apply a waterproofing membrane in wet areas, such as bathrooms or kitchens.

Step 2: Layout Planning – Highlight Calacatta Veining

Snap reference lines to ensure balanced, symmetrical placement.
Dry-lay tiles to preview the natural veining and overall look.
Mix tiles from multiple boxes for a harmonious appearance.
Recommended grout spacing: 1/16″ to 1/8″, allowing beveled edges to stand out.

Step 3: Mortar Application – White Thin-Set for Clarity
