Step 1: Surface Preparation – Solid & Level Base
Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or debris. Check for flatness using a straightedge—small deviations can affect alignment of 6″x6″ tiles. In moisture-prone areas such as bathrooms or backsplashes, apply a waterproofing membrane for extra protection.

Step 2: Layout Planning – Harmonious Design
Mark layout lines to maintain symmetry and minimize cuts. Dry-lay tiles to preview natural veining and tone variation. Mix tiles from multiple boxes to achieve an even, balanced look. Recommended grout joint: 1/16″ to 1/8″, depending on preference.

Step 3: Mortar Application – Use White Thin-Set
